Cord Blood Center, CZ, s.r.o., located at Cihlářská 643/19, 602 00 Brno (hereinafter Cordcenter) appreciates the extraordinary confidence it receives from its clients. At the same time, Cordcenter is fully aware of the sensitivity of any personal data and information provided by the third party, the private nature of their activities and discreet relationships with its clients. All clients’ data is handled and stored under the Law of Personal Data Protection. Cord Blood Center CZ is registered by the Department for the protection of personal data as a data controller under the registration number 00035210/001. Cordcenter with respect to all legal requirements administers the following protection of privacy policy:

1. All personal information provided or made available by any person is treated as confidential. The exception is given to action needed for compliance with applicable responsibilities imposed on Cordcenter by legal enactments (e.g. compulsory procedures for preventing the spread of infectious and contagious diseases or the duty to assist any competent public authority, etc.).

2. All personal information or other data acquired are used exclusively within the scope and for the purposes of realizing a necessary appropriate relationship with a given subject (e.g. processing and storing of stem cells from umbilical cord blood). Primarily Cordcenter processes acquired data and only when needed, these data are processed by cooperating agencies fully respecting and protecting the privacy of each individual.

3. Provided information or all available personal and unrestricted data are not, without any legal obligations (see Paragraph 1.), provided for any fee or free of charge to any person other than the cooperating agency under the definition of the preceding paragraph.

4. Cordcenter stipulates that any subject (person) voluntarily providing his or her personal data, gives, at the same time, in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., a privacy consent to the processing of all personal data (personal information of the person, child and if need be the father of the child), especially names, addresses, pregnancy information, etc. The consent is given, in particular, for storing of personal information in the database of Cordcenter and its use regarding the communication with a concerned person, collection of umbilical cord blood, its processing and storage, and all related acts. Cordcenter acts here as an entrepreneur or operator under the relevant provisions of the law concerning Personal Data Protection. The consent for personal data processing is given voluntarily for an indefinite period and it is possible to cancel it at any time in writing through registered letter sent to the headquarters of Conrdcenter. The operator is authorized to process any personal data until the given consent is revoked under the definition of the preceding sentence. Cordcenter is authorized to provide processed personal data to a third party exclusively in connection with further data processing. Under the same conditions and to the same extent the concerned person also gives consent to the processing of other provided data that do not have the character of personal information (e.g. telephone numbers, email address, etc.).

5. When a concerned person gives further consent allowing the processing of personal data and handling of all confidential information in the future (e.g. by signing the Informed Consent or by signing a contract with Cordcenter) it is considered that from this moment the rights and obligations of Cordcenter are governed by the wording and the scope of the given consent.

6. Unless otherwise stated by the law, from its own initiative, Cordcenter does not seek and process any personal data or other personal information regarding any person, nor does it collect them. In case of any accidental acquirement of any personal data concerning any person, Cordcenter does not further process this information and acts as if this acquisition never happened.

All data from Cord Blood Center CZ clients are processed and stored under the Law on Personal Data Protection. Cord Blood Center CZ is registered by the Department for the Protection of Personal Data as a data controller under the registration number 00035210/001!
